What is SoulPancake?
Sunday, March 8, 2009
That guitar looks tiny under Riann's head... haha! If one is an Athiest than does he/she have a SOUL?
that hurt my soul when he smashed the guitar...owwwww
I absolutely love this site...I've been on it for the last 6 hours. Straight. Honestly, I can't even tell you how I spent so much time on here. Anyway, fantastic job.
I'm so glad I discovered your site... I've always wanted to have discussion about spirituality, to share my ideas and to learn from others, but always I have the same two concerns: That I will be viewed as strange for wanting to explore spiritual concepts, or that I will be bombarded by the "Only my way is right" preachy type. This site prevents both of these outcomes, and for that I am truly grateful. So thank you for your creative spirit!
just wondering about the concept? bob leggio sure tells a different story. i've sent this infomation on to a few trustworthy people with time and dates. Thanks. mchepachet@aol.com
Rainn - You are awesome. There is only ONE other website on which I can have these kinds of discussions and while I love it because people are (generally) tolerant, thoughtful, thought provoking, challenging and respectful on that site, it's good, always good to find other sites that also offer these kinds of stimulating discussions. I can't get enough of people's personal stories and perspectives. They are so valuable. Thank you for starting this site. I totally dig it and you are a cool cat.
@soulpancake Love your site!! [I know it's been said a few times.] BUT, it really works. I kinda thought that maybe Rainn thought it was not working but it the questions can be asked [even if it is the umpteenth time] maybe we can start being a bit more tolerant. I've seen where people here are very tolerant [says something about our younger gen], understanding and tactful. When things get a little heated, they are called out but not rudely. [most the times] I'M SO IMPRESSED...this is the first place I come in the morning and the last place at night. I'm working it into my am meditation...so that I can learn some tolerance of viewpoints that I may not understand. I'm sure this is taking on a life of its own...imo...let it!
I think any video that starts with "My heart floats like a flower." and then is followed by the smashing of the guitar, is obviously epic. The fact that a site with this concept such as yours has actually materialized, is quite delightful.
I Great site I look forward to enjoying the discussion here.I think there is a lot of room for fun in our spiritual search so I , recommend No Way,a book by Wayne Liquorman..an irreverent look at life and its spirit
I think spirituality can afford to get down to earth -- to get a little dirty and while i don't think that i will try to sell any taquitos, i do think it useful to marry these two concepts: spirituality and earthiness/reality/physicality. Spirituality has to be something that we can use daily like a fork... but a very nice fork.
Also, there is something to be said for people who have unnecessary double letters at the ends of their names.

I look forward to checking out this site every time I am on the internet. I've posted my thoughts on some of the questions. There are some tough ones.. such as...What one word would you have chiseled into your tombstone? I am still pondering that one. Thanks to Rainn and staff!
After watching the Nightline interview the other night, I got really excited! I was already a member (who does not watch The Office, but loves Office Space), and I've jumped in a bit to test the waters. I was not surprised with the results, as I trusted Rainn right off the bat. Some other sites had members who, for the most part sneered at my thoughts, and even went as far as engaging in evil.
I find that the community is encouraging and edifying. The main thing to remember is that challenging one another in Love will bring about a harmony not yet experienced in other communities.
Thank you Rainn,
Doo
I randomly turned the television on to see Dwight without glasses leading this other dude around the Office. I guess it was Nightline...
In any case, this site is spectacular. Thank-you.
I saw you on Nightline the other night and was pretty impressed. I finally had a chance to glance at your web site and was more impressed. I'm looking forward to reading and perhaps asking a few questions myself. Thanks for this.
I also saw Nightline last night with Rainn which is why I came to this website and decided to sign up. I think this is an amazing site and it really spoke to me as well.
PS. I live for The Office :)
I saw nightline last night and was impress by Rainn and by this web site. So i just sign on for this web site. Great job.
Saw the re-airing of the Nightline story about 3AM this morning and it really spoke to me and saw the joy and passion in Rainn's voice as he talked about what SoulPancake is, it made me want to see what it was all about and I'm glad i did
We should all have the opportunity to experience a forum such as this. Stimulates the my and creatie thinking. And the exceptance of other peoples beliefs.
I watch nightline every night, i was so excited to see "Dwight", had to come check it out. Good stuff! My question is...are all your staff (@soulpancake) of the Baha'i faith???
Wow. A website that encourages people to actually think? Pure genius. Allowing creativity to be fun again? How very cutting edge. Open minded discussions on spirituality? Utterly mindblowing. I am digging this site already! Way to be.
I was at home and was looking to see what was on tv. Nightline was on there was Dwight. Went on to website, and it's really cool.
dude, i never watch night time... until tonight and this was on, i wasl like, oh dude, it's dwight! and then i'z all woooooaaaahhhh that's coooooolllll, and then when i finally got to the website i was all mezmarized by all the trippy background pictures
I'm so glad i watched nightline this rocks i want to talk about the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY!
This site is really good, it makes me think and...it feels good...
Thanks!
Me too. I saw the Nightline piece and agree with statement to the right that "There is a lot of crap out on these here Internets." Look forward to some refreshing discussions without the wierdos adding more crap and 'mindless drivel"!
I also saw the Nightline episode and decided to investigate. I am highly religious and very liberal. I want to see if I am a walking oxymoron. Thanks for this site and the honesty.
i just watched Nightline and you were on talking about this website:) so i decided to check it out...and signed up b/c you have some great topics:)
Wahooo!! Enage, and Delamify! Think critically about what you believe and own it!!
its about time someone came up with a site for which the internet was invented. this site is like therapy for me
Awesome video Rainn. Couldn't agree with you more. I go to church and I am sick and tired of having to sit there not being able to talk, discuss, engage. And the songs we sing too often are flat and unrealistic.
Thanks
It's great to finally see someone with a voice - communicating thoughts and ideas that people actually give a rip about. I know that I can love God, love art, love music and share that here. Dare I say "Virtual Church™"? (Just kidding about the ™).
Grace and Peace...
TJM
Cool I'll check this website out....Saw you as well on Leno...I suffer from sleep paralysis and I have Lucid dreaming which have made me experience some unbelievable things...It has made wonder the whys??? about life and it has freed my mind...I love a website that supports open minds...I'm looking forward to meet cool people and speak my mind out
It's about time someone created a way to make "Spirituality, Creativity, and Philosophy cool again". Thanks Rainn. This has been exceptionally great to talk with people who think like i do.
Damn it's good to be heard.
Thanx Rainn, saw you on Leno last nite. Rad shoes!!!!!!!!
Namaste, David
I'm excited about Soulpancake... frankly I think my facebook friends are sick of me asking philosophical questions in my status.
I came upon your site through an "O" podcast I just got around to listening to. Great job BTW. Love the concept, dedication, and inspiration. You are on a great wave...thanks to you and your "flock" for sharing the ride. Continued blessings.
Mmm, great idea! Pretty interesting website, I need to explore it some more
cuando vengas a la argentina, pasa por casa y nos vamos de joda a un cabarulo.
I am going to start smashing my guitars more often, thanks to YOU; Rainn Wilson!
About the site, spoken in my poor Lloyd Christmas (Dumb and Dumber) accent, "I lock it a lot!"
For the life of me, I can't understand how my son, who loves music, can't see fit to play on my drum set??? I won't push him, that's for sure, but if I had the drumset I now have as a kid, I wouldn't have left the house. Every kids like to bang and smash stuff and I am giving him the thumbs up on that, but he doesn't pay much attention to it.. Odd I tell you!
I guess I had a temper tantrum an hour ago. I have found responses and have responded back to almost all. I am even having real time discourse. Still have some issues with the ticket #666!
I wish that I could find a section of the site for live interaction. Otherwise I feel like I am talking to myself. I have submitted questions but never see them displayed and I wonder how will I ever receive replies. And I still cannot believe that my help request was arbitrarily ticketed #666. And if it is not arbitrary, it is not funny. Or maybe it was just a warning that I may be deceived. I'm afraid this may offend but if it does, I would love to see a response telling me so.
I found this website when you tweeted about it. And I really like this video. I think it's a shame popular rock bands don't smash their guitars like that anymore...
So far this has been a very interesting read. I don't really write that much, because I don't have that much to say. Prefer to read.
To put it in terms of my beliefs:
Thanks for choosing to be the vessel that God used to create this place. :-)
I found your website when you plugged it on The Emmys' red carpet. Since then my house is getting messier and messier because I can't get off my ass watching videos, answering questions, and just exploring. I've seen a lot of visual arts but are there any places on the site to share poetry (hopefully not the mushy love poems) and short essays. I thank you and the other spearheads for giving me a place to think and share even if no one ever reads me.
YEAH! i love th eidea of soul pancake! and Rainn is the perfect guy to talk about it! i agree completely!!!
thie pancake has cushioned my fall after surfing the internet, looking for this exact kind of community. I'm very glad my journey has led me here, and I plan to stick around for a while :)
talking about spirituality, creativity and philosophy.........it was cool, it still is.........
Oh, and all these background images are about the best I have ever seen anywhere on the Web, A++ on that one ; )
Just found it and I think it is pretty interesting, I feel uplifted already : )
Creators of SoulPancake.com, thank you. And viva La Oficina!! ('TheOffice' for all you gringos) :-)
I don't think I've ever said THANK YOU oh, Mr. Wilson! I love this site. Very inventive. Makes me think...even when I'm not on it.
I often wonder if you lurk around here, reading our responses--or perhaps have an icon/name in an undercover fashion...
Hmmmmmm.
I love this video. It really captures SoulPancake.
And my outlook on life...
Thank you, Rainn Wilson!
I think this is a great site Rainn. Thanks for helpng to start it!
i HOPE WE WILL BE ABLE TO TALK ABOUT LIFE!
Because I think everything is alive, but in degrees, of course!
We think life begins at the plant level, but really it is the angelic level above us!
Even minerals have a life, little atoms whirling and radiating, accreting into planets and things and growing crystals, being in the bodies of plants and animals and returning to dust, ashes, clay, fossils, whatever. And for humans, life is relative.
Some stumbling bodys have no spiritual life, and many souls that have passed on are alive, in love, and whiping past at light speed!
I meant to say site not "sit". I don't want anybody thinking i meant to say some other word that rhymes with "sit"
I'm so glad I found this site. Its a great place for me to really talk about the tings I see going on in the world. Its great that so many people on this site are really willing to listen to what I have to say(sadly, allot of them don't) Ive learned so much about people and life because of this sit.
Thanks Rainn and all the people who make this site possible!
Has any body seen Lady Ga Ga without her makeup on? http://twitpic.com/awi1k
@eatmetoday I did wonder who was standing in front of you through that? But then i learned to never question a stack full of pancakes like you!!!!!!!!
Ques:Why is hot water always to the left and cold always on the right? And why are we ok with even if the plumbing was set up back ward still turning to the left for hot when we know its backwards and cold?Who set these rules in motion? What the fuck difference does it make???Why am i caring now???
@SariQuiteContrary Oh I agree...plain oatmeal sucks. Yeah, I reply to some of these topics...did a Food for Thought one earlier. I started another one too about Organic vs. Non-Organic food.
@SariQuiteContrary haha, not sure what to make of this post...hehe. There is a definite difference between cheap oatmeal and good oatmeal. Pancakes I can do, just not all the time.
@SariQuiteContrary I gotta say oatmeal with flaxseed and omega-3 topped with honey, wheat germ and blueberries is pretty good...makes my soul feel good ;)
We spend a lot of time trying to figure out who we are and our purpose. Some of us figure it out early and enjoy life and some of us find it too late, if we find it at all.
At cocktail parties, I mention soul pancake as my favorite breakfast. It's a good way to scale the next few minutes of conversation.
I think I have quite possibly found a little slice of heaven..... a website devoted to 2 of my favorite things. Those of course being Pancakes (extra syrup pleaseeee) and talking about the things we are taught to never say.
If my soul is a pancake.....my only hope is that is not made of oatmeal.
Damn you! I was just about to make fun of your grotesque hands, but you had to ruin it! They grow from childishly tiny to freakishly huge!
None of you have said a word about my oddly-shaped hands! For god's sake, people. Don't you have any attention to detail?!
I recently read Rainn Wilson's interview with Eric Spitznagel (vanityfair.com), in which they discussed Soul Pancake, among other topics. I thought Spitznagel was incredibly rude. He basically demeaned all religion, including Wilson's beliefs, in very insulting ways. I thought Wilson should have been a little less jolly about it, but maybe a Vanity Fair Q & A is not the time and place.
I look forward to spending time on this site.
I believe we each have a purpose, if we only have the courage to find and fulfill it. This is a self-fulfilling belief... because if you believe you have a purpose, and find it, and live your life in accordance with it, then you have one. Even if not everyone has a purpose, imagine how much better the world would be if we all lived as if we did.
On the other hand, remember "The Point," the cartoon about the kid who lived in a town full of people with pointed heads, but his head was round? He had no point. So he hit the road with his pet, "Arrow," in search of a point. He found out that "The Point" is not everything needs a "point" to be of value. Get the point?
I'm not sure if breaking a perfectly good guitar will help me find a point... but I sure love watching you do it!
My purpose? Communication. Almost but not quite ironic, huh?
As soon as you start working, don't waste your money on foolish recreations.
Uhhnnnnnnnnnn, I love you(: haha
This place makes my heart smile realll big(:
via SoulPancake - cool new web destination to chew on life's biggest questions. Thank you Rainn, heard you on Oprah's Soul Series.
Not really the most religious man... not really religious at all actually. This site has some decent discussions though. Thanks Dwight (yes, I know that's not your real name).
@AliceMooreHealth Thanks Ms. Moore I did check it out....good for you!!!! I too appreciate Rainn for creating this web sit. Thanks Rainn!!!
Old Lady Hypnotist www.hypnosisforhealing.net
Aghhhh frozen taquitos!!! mmm the best!! (nacho libre accent)
I must say soulpancake may have a idiosyncratic name, but it has a intoxicating force that drives you to question or "chew on life's big questions" and I liked it b/c it really reveals the distinctive/colorful opinions and interpertation that people have of life in general! and I do agree w/you that "Life is a rich, weird, difficult experience."
I'd like to share a qoute..."In all of living have much of fun and laughter. Life is to be enjoyed, not just endured." Gordon B.Hinckley =D
I don't like the terms "religion" or "religious". It's destructive and NOT conducive to acquiring and retaining a functional spirituality (what other kind should there be?).
One of Jesus' MAIN functions during His earthly mission was to confront and dismantle the religious.
Cool enough for my very deep 14 year old. I need to share this with him...may help get him through the trials and tribulations of high school.
Plus he loves The Office, so Rainn's presence will no doubt help pique his interest!
I love this, Rainn! I feel like I've found a soul mate! (I'm married, so this is not a come on. I swear!) I just love what you're up to and am totally inspired. I have an online radio show called Coffee Meditations (Can't we still be cool and be healthy? Can you drink coffee, eat sugar and still be spiritual? Would eating a vegetable really hurt?) The show is demystifying health and inspiring people to take the pressure off of having the perfect diet and just do a little something to get the ball rolling. I talk about the spirituality of food and I am also an actor. Thank you so much for Soul Pancake. I am a new fan! Check out my show if ya wanna:
http://www.energytalkradio.com/shows.html#program5
just another great idea to bring awareness back into our country, for those who may have been enclosed in a box their whole lives, no?
I think that soul pancake is a sweet area to just take aload off your mind and chat about whatever you want when your girlfriend is being a bitch and won't talk to you or only talks and you just get to listen. At soulpancake it's your turn to talk (:
I think soul pancake is a soul searching experience, I've now live alone with no one to talk to due to the material lost of my wife. My wife is on a crusader journey with a material view of life. She was born a Catholic from the Far-East, now here in America the land of plenty she is getting her share of experiencing what she wants. God bless her, and for me to move on in faith.
I came here from Brea Grant's website. Every time I see a statement from someone, it's the typical syrupy drivel.....positivity, love, blah, blah, blah. I hope people realize that not everyone thinks like that. Some of us are actually realistic and don't wear rose tinted glasses. Just a head's up....I will challenge people and it won't be pretty....and you may not like it...but I'm shooting from the hip and telling you how *I* see it.
This page needs to be mandatory reading before actually getting to use the site.
(Too many petty little idealists out there making up rules as they go along; like annoying little birds in the middle of the night.)
I came across this site on twitter, I could not be happier that I was browsing through Ted's posts. I have only had a chance to briefly look around the Soulpancake community, but so far it seems amazing!
Thanks for this site :D
thank you rainn wilson.
I have one question.
Which bear is best?
:) I love the site.
Rainn,
Won't bore you. Bone to pick.
Site good idea, but format needs work. Little real interaction. Users write without reading. More like sets of monologues than continuous dialogues. Discussions disjointed, useless.
Perhaps new physical layout for submissions? Non-linear set-up? Easier system for one-on-one replies? User limit per question? Screening process for frivolous collectives submissions? Site new concept, needs new format. Basic open linear-forum obsolete.
Like said, site good but could be better. Keep up.
I listened to the Oprah Poscast and signed right up! I'm more of a French Toast kinda' girl but, I just can't get enough of this SOULPANCAKE! I am not ALWAYS on but, I love knowing that there is a comfortable place to visit when I feel the need. Thank you for that.
KUDOS TO YOU!!! Finally a place that is actually authentic AND talks about the forbidden 3 letter word ("God").
uhh ohh i hope this is not just a christian ploy...shall we experiment with taoism? what about faith concepts, and why peeps come to these beliefs?...i smell a little too much western only concepts when i read too much about God this, God that.
grabbed the rss feed randomly on the dcmetro from my iphone one morning and then found out it is more participatory and crowd-sourced instead of just a blog... awesome idea for a website
This is a good site, but I'd like to know if I'm the only one who thinks 80% of the comments made here are by blithering idiots.
life is what we make of it. life is what we make of it from birth to death, but it is what wedo with it through our life. james harbour
I came by chance. Signed up within the first ten minutes of having knowledge of its existence. It is simply wonderful.
I have not been on the site for 3 months and have missed so much by not checking in to see and read what others are thinking and doing. Keep up the good works! Scottsdale Sue
I think my soul pancake is, first of all, certainly made from Bisquick. I think my soul pancake also was spiked with some blue food dye, and consists of many chocolate chips. I shall have some Aunt Jamima syrup on the side for dipping purposes, and it will be oh-so delicious.
Nothing Harder Than A Preacher's Dick! (spirituality and sexuality are bedfellows)
Soul Pancake...I like what I see and hear. Need a little blueberry and some conversation. This seems to be a good place to become part of a philisophical bunch, and have a little dialogue and banter. I am in, as long as the coffee is free. Tip your waitress please.
Which is not to imply that the process can't be joyful. In fact, forgetting one's self, even momentarily, is fraught with so much joy and happiness, and oddly it is exactly why people pursue sexuality - the temporary and fleeting forgetfulness of self (God's little joke!) - but living a spiritual life is a deeper and more lasting recognition of self in others, and the release is a much greater orgasmic ecstasy. That's why truly spiritual people are ultimately recognized as "lovers".... all over the world, these people bring light and joy and love and service to others, and exude a brilliance which makes the rest of us yearn, and draws us like moths to a candle.
I used to eat my pancakes thin, stacked, with fruit and syrup, and only on special days. Well, I like Soul Pancake much better than Soul Waffle. It's a treat. Religion and spirituality have become lame because most people are cherry pickers - they are only interested in what individually feels good, not what raises consciousness and creates oneness - which is often a painful process when a person has to confront their own ego - ouch! That hurt! Soul Pancake reminds me of that thinning, drippy, fried and flipped process, cooked on both sides, then cut and eaten. Yup, first one has to have their ego flattened... and that just ain't no bowl of cherries. (Note - the definition of a "spiritual cherry picker" around here is = a person who will not suffer for their beliefs, has no certitude, and flits from one thing to another and hastily moves on as soon as things become tough or inconvenient.)
Thanks for this Rainn good to see so many people bebateing such deep matters
Way to go Rainn....I am wondering if this is what Grammy and your Mom had in mind. One being very spiritual and the the other not so much.I would have been happier without the smashed guitar.NOt so big on violence.
Hey this is a good idea. I like it when sites make me think, especially if they can't really answer the question correctly or incorrectly. Seems like this would be a great site for me.
I love this video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm sooo here. I would've liked that guitar before you smashed it. What about the trees? Ok I can't play, but I'll pimp you on HP. HP is huffpost just in case the feds are watching.
De-lamefy spirituality? The lameness of spirituality today is a function of the desire to market and sanitize.
THIS IS CHURCH! This is what God and Jesus had intended CHURCH to look like! A discussion among people who may or may not agree about His teachings!! I am in love with this church!!! THIS IS GLORIFYING GOD!!!
This is not a criticism; just an observation....
You are punctuating your mission statement to "de-lame-ify" discussing God, spirituality, and the big questions with an extremely lame-sounding little musical jingle... which, is basic comedy, I suppose, but was it intended that way?
Beyond that, great idea for a site! Look at you, Rainn Wilson, stokin' the fires of the Collective Consciousness. Way to step up, dude! 11:11 ~ Crag
best site i have ever seen ever. double ever: it's just that awesome.
I feel like I have got it.....
Happiness is a choice, and I choose it.
Life is a choice and I live mine.
I need to talk with Rainn regading my book The Age of Terror, Spiritual solutions for trauma and terror. How can I reach him. E. Amanat MD
I saw Rainn this morning on DIY, I believe it was. He was having a "man-cave" built to house his new project, Soul Pancake. I'm very interested in talking about the "real" questions. Is there a God? Did he desert us? What is faith? Can you be a Buddhist, Wiccan, whatever, and reap the rewards of GOD? Can I have a man-cave even if I'm a woman? Who'll pay for it? I'm really interested in seeing where this website takes us.
I love this site, and I thought the video was great. I embrace both the airy-fairy-hippy-dippy-precious and the meta-physical-philosophical-smarty-pants ends of spirituality and creativity dialogue. The deeper I've gotten into my study of the soul, the more I find that the airiest, fairest concepts are often backed by science and that scientific breakthroughs were usually spouted by a bunch of mystics millennia ago. I love it all, and am psyched that this resource is here! Awesome job Rainn Wilson and friends!
What a great concept and format for discussion. This is certainly a website after my own heart. I ran across your interview w/ Oprah and was very impressed with what was being thrown around; especially the notion of creating art and the direct link to god, or whatever force one identifies with.
I would have to say that this is the best use of "celebrity" I've witnessed to date, and can safely say that this is worth contributing to. Cheers!
oh my. I feel intimidated reading all of these concepts being posted.
Rainn,
I love this site! Such a good concept and I love the layout.
We need more sites like SoulPancake on the web! So much corruption.
Thank you! (:
So far so good, love Rainn tweets so i am sure it just as awsome. Can I Just say I HATE BEING POOR! NO SERIOUSLY IT SUCK....BUT THEN I THINK ABOUT IT THE BEST THINGS IN LIFE ARE FREE <3 MY DAUGHTER SMILE AND WHEN SHE GIGGLES....ALL I WANT FOR HER IS TO NEVER GROW UP WORRING ABOUT MONEY LIKE I DO...NOT LEAVING PAY CHECK TO PAY CHECK...BUT EVEN AFTER ALL THAT I LOVE GOD,LOVE MY HUSBAND AND MY BEAUTIFUL BABY.LOVE GOD
I think this is an awesome site....I've really appreciated you since your NPR interview on Fresh Air and you definitely have some great people here and cool things to talk and think about. Keep up the good work!
Cool community that I'm just starting to poke around ... the topics seem really poignant and thought provoking. Thanks for setting this place up for people to share ideas.
Rainn, You're the Dog, man ! We need more stuff like this on the net. Derrick and Allison will be joining the club too soon.
Cool idea! Been loving the questions, the blogs, the interviews. I'm usually shy about giving my opinion, but let's break that habit, shall we? I say you rock for doing this Rainn!
Ok, this is kind of wild....I've just gotten hooked on the office and have now stumbled upon this website....hmmmm. And as I really am more of a waffle than pancake kind of girl that's basically the point....that we all come from the same batter.
Its crazy, im vegan and just recently my dad got me vegan pancakes and i have been eating them for the past 4 days for breakfast and lunch because i havent been able to eat them since forever. So just yesterday i ate an orange instead of pancakes and later on that day i find soul pancake. It's a sign...
P.S. Have you ever tried a sweat lodge ceremony? Now that's heavy prayer!
Rainn, I listened to you on Oprah's soul series. There is hope for this planet!
I love Dwight...and the Office...and you!
One of the best sites on the internet, no question about it. Intellectually stimulating and a great spot to discuss the great debate topics of today.
The title makes me crave maple syrup... REAL syrup and also some Etta James...oddd
been following the guy on twitter for awhile, and finally decided to see what all the hubbub was about. awesome premise for discussion, as a somewhat "religious" man, i see the need for this approach. I'm so frustrated with people on every side getting angry instead of bridging (in some cases defining) the gap between us and the greater thing that binds us (some call First Cause).
There are only 17 waking hours in my day. I'm probably gonna have to choose between this and facebook. Unless I can somehow combine the two. FacePancake. SoulBook.
SpacePancake. FoulBook. Surely these are old jokes here.
The pressure to be witty is crazy intense.
Dear Mr. Wilson,
You are a visionary and I thank you for SoulPancake. So here's the deal. I love talking about all this spiritivity God stuff and I will continue to contribute. And I think in the end, well, who knows? I'm a big fan of Miss Iris Dement and her song LET THE MYSTERY BE. Give it a look see: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlaoR5m4L80
Thanks again for your positive contribution to the collective spiritual evolution of humanity.
Gratefully,
Laura
This site is amazing, its exactly what the world needs right now, a place where your time wont be wasted, where you can actually do some critical thinking, have fun and learn. yay!
Thank you, first site I've joined since the conundrum that is facebook.
Rainn.
You rock.
I can't explain how much I appreciate this collabo of soul-inspired thinkers.
Allah'u'abha.I feel that this site really answers most of the big questions in life. Its a excellent site. Keep it up!! =)
Keep up the excellent work :)
I'm also into the arts and was looking for a stimulus. This site has definately inspired me.
Thanks Rainn! :D
This site is AWESOME. I love when people gather to discuss stuff that actually matters~ Or does it matter? =P
But seriously keep this up, I'm looking forward to getting involved!
man where the hell where you a few years ago....when I was busy dumbing myself down to get along better with "friends" and biting my tongue not to launch into LIFES BIG QUESTIONS once I got a few beers down my hatch.....no matter - I have already read enough truly interesting and well thought out comments to know that it's not too late....Thank God you came along....inspire a mind, free a soul.....
Refreshing and finally a way to stop and think in this crazy world.
Thanks for starting this Rainn.
Its an important time to stop and consider what things mean/ why things are happening and how we keep on keepin on...
Oh and thanks because laughter has helped me through so much pain recently.
you mean your cute, talented, smart, AND deep? and you know others who share these same attributes? sign me up. i talk about the big questions in life all the time - but it's all in my head. nice to find some folks who might want to share.
This is a very amazing website and is very important to the continuation of our species. This site will forever untie all peoples under all religions and beliefs for the rest of its internet life.
I am very interested to see where this goes. I've never seen a site like this, and I think I could be really great. Nice song.
WOW AMAZING im excited for this site! :)
btw LOVED UR SONG :))
cant wait to answer some questionsss!! These soul pancake questions will be thought about every morning in my breakfast haha
What an amazing idea.
So now, when I should be completeing some ridiculous assignment and I'm pulling an coffee-fueled-all nighter, with a main course of Soul Pancake, I will tell my parents that 'The Office' isn't the only reason to stay up late.
lots of love :]
btw; you just may have the coolest name ever. it beats Coral!
What a great site! I spent the majority of my high school math career sitting in the back of the class discussing questions such as this. The teacher would write the assignments on the board and read aircraft magazines the rest of the time. This is an excellent idea!!
Awesome! I happened to come across you on Soul Series, I love your outlook for helping a "new generation" to find a sense of purpose. What a great way to have us explore and engage in subjects that have been unexplored..or basically taboo...I study :The Course in Miracles, which has opened me up toward a better understanding of dealing with everyday living and seeing the love in all, and that we are all the same, no better or worse. I have such a burning inside of me that i need to know my purpose and as Oprah has said WHY? Why? I embrace this website, and lookforward to learning more and digging deep...thank you.
Hey Rainn, you're one of my favorite actors and after recently following you on Twitter i discovered this site. I'm an Atheist, but my family (every one of them) are Christian. I've had to endure Communion and Confession and the extra church time needed to partake in them. I mentioned once in a fight with my mom that i did not believe in a god and she lost it. i decided to keep my mouth shut so i don't have to hear my entire family question me and get on my case. I love what you're doing here and amongst my other things i check daily i will be visiting and more than likely participating on SoulPancake.
Rainn- just heard your podcast with Oprah and learned about this website. I am so excited to hear about a place like this! I do not consider myself a part of any organized religion right now, but I do believe in spirituality and a higher power. I long for something more to life. I try to read books on this and become educated throught programs like Oprah's Soul Series- but I have no real venue or sense of community or belonging when it comes to my spirutuality. So when I heard about Soul Pancake I was ecstatic. Imagine a place for people across the world to question, discuss, debate, and explore the deeper sense of life and questions burning within all of us. It was also a huge plus that you are on one of favorite TV shows "The Office"- so to see a familiar face that I love watching on TV being involved with something like this is truly amazing and inspiring. Thank you so much! I look forward to continuing my own spiritual journey through this venue!
Rainn, I just watched your podcast interview with Oprah, which is how I learned about this website. I have a few burning questions about the bahai faith. I am an artist also, and researched this religion years ago when I was searching. The deal breakers for me was that the religion denounced homosexuality, and told you never to drink alcohol. How do you feel about these two aspects of the religion? I was really disappointed when I found these things out about the bahai faith. It seemed in perfect alignment with my beliefs, but I feel strongly that I should be able to drink responsibly in moderation, and I would never critisize anyone for their lifestyle or sexual preference.
Great website. I'm really looking forward to being a part of the discussions.
Peace and Love!
Jodi
I'm sorry, but if you don't think this site is awesome... then you need to take awesome lessons. ;) Great idea on a world-wide-web!
Awesome Idea .. and glad to see that someone funny can actually think outside of the box too! Great job with the site
I just want to say that your video is amazing, and exactly what I have been thinking for a LONG time now. Thanks for making this site, Rainn!
I lurked for a while after Rainn first posted it on his Twitter, and just wanted to say I think this site is really interesting.
Remember to take some time for a group hug now and then.
I just ate a soul pancake @aromasade
You know, that twitter thing that you do WaY too much of -
Thank you Rainn - you addict!
Much love,
Sadie from allnaturalme.com
Really cool site, I've never really seen anything like this, specifically, on the interwebs
floats like a flower? is that what you said??!
love the site
I have decided that confusion is WAY under rated! Not having the answers is kind of liberating...
floats like a flower...where did you get that?
dude
Nice mission. I hope your ideas sell like.. hotcakes?

My 3 year old son has never laughed so hard in his life as he did when he watched this video. He thought it was the best thing he'd ever seen! Thank you for that and this site! It's awesome.
Great idea, and I love how you present that we do not know all the answers (or questions) but that's okay. That's life. But I believe we are all connected and this is a great way to show that without preaching it.
Rainn and others.... Rock on! Yeah, this is totally cool - very cool vibe, very cool site, and your Oprah thing was the shizzy. My wife is a Baha'i from Chicago, and I am also on that path (I believe), and so the Oprah thing plus this, it's just very, very cool. Nice going, and keep it up.
I think this is a good idea and I'll come here often. I look forward to the discussions and new ideas I'll meet here.
This is the one site I've joined that I actually keep coming back to. Creativity, spirituality, and philosophy! That's the degree I want! A phd. in CSP. :)
thank you Rainn for the brilliant idea whose time has come, we will support you in any way to create the world community that understand our true sense of living through this Web.
I am ABSOLUTELY THRILLED to have a place like this to share my thoughts. This is fantastic. Thank you.
I saw you on that Oprah soul series thing. This video is so awsome. I totally agree.
I have something to confess to you and you may or may not like it...Rainn Wilson...you are my new hero...so much that I don't even know who my old one was. Just ousted him out of the park. I'm pretty sure it was Chuck Norris...
It looks like a flippin sweet site bro i should have thought of it sooner. i just signed up for it like 5 min. ago but i like it so far.
I think this is one of the best approach to connecting why we are here. It is food for the mind and the soul. It reaches out to everyone. By the way, I am (ouch) 60, that is just a number. At least that is what I keep telling myself. Kudos Great Website.. Make this website personal to connect to people we have in our life, however long or short that may be.
@stayathomedadcooks
Ah. The Hunger. The scourge of the Information Age. Knowledge: Dig it!
I'm "word" hungry, and so glad this place exists and I found it.
I think this is awesome. I love the concept. It is filled with hope. Thank you.
I think that this is an incredible portal. It's actually about time that someone took the initiative towards helping affirm and/or help others find their "self ". As well, allowing a space to chat about, Spirituality, Creativity and Philosophy. These three topics work harmoniously. Thank you. :)
It's great to hang around creative, thoughtful, articulate, interesting people! Sooooo
different than the daily vents in my newspaper------refreshing!!!
@ieshiaSimone
are you really going to launch that website? That sounds amazing! I love when science (and not just meta) is discussed from a spiritual basis, please please post the link once your site is up.
Hi Rainn,
Were you in Edinburgh last July? If you were, I nearly ran into you in the middle of a crosswalk. If you weren't, I almost turned around to ask a stranger for a photograph.
Either way, it was nice seeing you (or whoever it was). If it was you, I sincerely regret not saying "hello".
Abrielle
Just watched your interview on Oprah. Very inspiring. I'm looking forward to reading more on this website.
Thanks!
I'm home sick with the flu (totally lame) and couldn't do the fun and not so fun things I had scheduled for the day. After watching various Sunday morning news shows, I decided to open the laptop and check out Oprah's site in search of feel-good, sun-shiney, star-lighty, positive energy.....and I found the interview with Rainn and came on over to have some soul cake. I've been reading for hours and posting, too. Very cool. Though I think I may be a little lame in my posts. I think Rainn wants us to put on the gloves and smash crap. Let me get fired up...............
swing batter. I thought it was sole pancake and someone had eaten it already. Maybe that is why it took so long for the site to load.
I'm going to launch my own website that questions and debates lifes big questions- moreso scientific. I'm going to call it...Quantum Cakes.
Thanks for putting together this great website. I have always been barrated with emails from my mother about different websites that come up for different things. But I really feel a sense of belonging on this website. A sense of belonging that is my own as I share it with others. YAHOO!
I kept seeing this site on Rainn's tweets and decided to check it out. Right now it's in my Facebook status.
Just joined today, after learning about you via Oprah.com. I've done a bit of exploring and from what I've seen so far I have to say this looks like the website I've been searching for since I first logged onto the 'net 9 years ago. Very excited about being here. Thanks.
i think this is an amazing thing, the internet and frankly the world needed a place like this to have open, truthful, and enlightening debates on things that matter and that are important
this is will an amazing movement

Heard you on Oprah's Soul Series. That's how I found out about Soul Pancake. Looking forward to de-lame-izing (sp) spirituality.
Im so excited the site is finally up. I saw Rainn on some late night show and the second he mentioned SP I went to the site and registered to it. Rainn is awesome and my boyfriend and I are big fans.
Good luck with the site, I will forever be a member.
Man, until you exposed me to the Baha'i religion, I wanted no part of any of them. I have always had a relationship with God and have never necessarilly needed a rigorous set of rules to follow. The teachings of the Bible to me seem to be "duh". I have also always had a problem with friends of mine that are from different religious backgrounds telling the other that they are wrong. What do they know? I've always enjoyed , however, listening to these same friends talk about their religions, without judgement. My only question is why can't they do the same for me and stop telling me I'm going to hell for being Gay. It really gets old.
Saw your interview from Oprah as the link was passed around our local Baha'i Communities!
You are awesome Rainn! I know this website will be big!
Great so far Dwight...errr... Rainn. I like the site. i will continue to come back. The "wallpaper" theme youve chosen for the background is a little creepy. Unicorns, rainbows, the all- too- mysterious xx barrels....love it.
Yep, very nice site, heard 'bout it on Leno too... Guess it is great to be a Leno fan... Nice job
I looooooove this site. You're totally right when you say freaks love you, cuz I'm a huge fan!
ps: the background pic of the unicorn with a peg leg and an eye patch....legendary.
good call, rainn. this site rocks! (as do pancakes) (and souls, i guess!)
TABOO?? na not anymore.. thanks for a open forum!!! so far ;) thumbs up!!!
Hey Rainn. Great job with this website, you and the other guys did a great job with the design and everything. First I've heard about this when you mentioned it on Jay Leno's show. It's good to be an Office fan I guess. :-]
Hey Rainn. Sweet video. Love it. I hear you say, "Soul Pancake is where spirituality and creativity meet." I suppose it's just semantics but I say they're one and the same.
hey, rainn. i applaud you for having the vision and providing this forum. i saw you on the oprah series and the only criticism i would make is that it is not only youth who need such a forum, although youth certainly does. we all need a place to talk about what is really important.
thank you.
that email made my day...it was pretty shitty until i opened my inbox, then i spazzed for the next half hour trying to tell my boyfriend how amazing it was at the same time.
thanx for the smiles lol
I've been waiting for WEEKS for this site to be up... AND NOW IT IS!!!!
This is the best use of my free time EVER!
Sooo... everyone thinks this is cool... where do we share ideas, discuss & debate?
Nice!!!!! Found out about this on Rainn's interview with Oprah...can't wait to learn more about how to submit stuff like video clips etc. As we say here is South FL...Rainn, et al...Joo da maing!
This is the best thing since flying pancakes in my parents kitchen(no joke) . I think it is brilliant an avenue to discuss things that most people think about but is rare that we actually speak up about..... loving the innovation
Great site. Hope others are as hungry for the truth as I am.
Will there be management parables?
-Volqueno
Great idea and site! (although I wouldn't call it the ONLY site to discuss these issues ;-) www.zenstorming.com but the emphasis is more on creativity and innovation there)
I'm writing this up on Trendhunter.com as well!
Rock on!!
~peace~
This soulpancake thing is awesome. Gives everyone the chance to speak up, be smart, dumb, wise asses and weird. I am going to love this! I have already had a few good laughs. Great idea!
Rainn et al: thank you for Soul Pancake. Love love LOVE having a place to share thoughts where, as you say, there are no wrong answers...I've recommended it to everyone!!!
@Violetxoxox I absolutely love this idea. SoulWaffles. Consider it done :) In some form or another.
What a great site Rainn. I was so happy to receive the email today! Namaste!
I like this site, I think its cool that people can relate on a different deeper level ;D
Sometimes, maybe just every now and then, could we have soulwaffles? The little squares hold the syrup and butter and questions so well. Squares of love.
This site and the heart behind it is inspirational! All of my favorite topics in one locale ... aint' life grand?!?
I was so excited to finally get the "GO" email!
I think its great that such a prominent social figure is bringing these subjects to the forefront. It is time that we stop ignoring things that are 'socially awkward'
Way to go Rainn & Co.!
i love this site :) i just joined after watching the amazing 1hr interview on Oprah's Soul series and have to say that this site is so COOL! Looks very good and looking forward to seeing the community grow as this will definitely catch on.
Out of nowhere I've been craving pancakes (loaded with butter and syrup) so,against my better judgment, I've been eating them twice a day (breakfast and dessert) everyday for the last two weeks. And today I find this website. Ah, kismet! I'm on my way to 24hour fitness to pay for my sins, but I will be back soon to learn more!
Wow, I love this site....it's so user friendly. It has gotten quite popular so fast! Here's to better things to come...and let me just say seriously thanks for reminding us about art as worship. Sometimes I feel guilty when I can't serve every day especially during the Fast but this is a good reminder that if you are an artist you can channel that creative energy into a spiritual force :) That sounds kind of airy fairy but whateves...
I think you stold my idea...Just kidding. I'm actually quite jealous that you came up with the concept before me. I look forward to exploring all of life's big questions. With all that is going on this is just what the doctor ordered. Thanks for doing this!
This is a great site. I really enjoyed the interview with Oprah, found my self shaking my head in agreement so many times. I love the idea of linking creativity to the spiritual. I am a writer and I know that when I am in that zone, it flows through me more than it comes from me. It's an experience that is hard to describe, but I like the idea of creativity being a prayer.
My daddy, who was ahead of his time, used to say to me. "You know that scripture that says pray without ceasing. Well, it's not telling you what to do, it's telling you what your are doing all the time."
He believed our thoughts and our actions in the world are our prayers and so we are praying without ceasingjust by being alive. I like this idea and I love having a web site where we can share these kinds of thoughts.
So how did I find out about Soul Pancake?
... A chain of events beginning at Cracked.com. Seriously, imagine that.
Anybody remember "Deep Thoughts" by Jack Handy on SNL? Some of them where pretty funny. Here's a couple...haha
"If God dwells inside us, like some people say, I sure hope He like enchiladas, because that's what He's getting!"
"I hope, when they die, cartoon characters have to answer for their sins."
I don't know why nobody else thought of this before, like back in the early 90's when the internet started. That tells you something about us. We love going through life avoiding those questions because they make us question ourselves, our actions and that makes us/me uncomfortable. For the most of us we lead superficial lives, as you walk through the streets, sitting in a Starbucks, or a bus when you over hear others converse, how often have you heard a deep one. It's very rare. I'm glad now there's a place where you can over hear some soul penetrating questions.
Hi Everybody. Welcome! Y'all seem to be digging the site and I'm so gratified!
It really started because I just kept noticing that anytime I brought up my feelings about God, Faith, Life, Death and even philosophy, people recoiled and threw-up in their mouths a little bit.
Not that I'm always doing that - my personal religious views I mostly keep private (except on Oprah).
Ever since high school where I took this awesome GREAT BOOKS course where the teacher really encouraged us to dig deep into LIFES BIG QUESTIONS, I've had a love for a healthy metaphysical debate. (thank you Ms. Landor!)
As someone replied on my twitter page "Why is it that people can talk all weekend long about how fucked up they got on the weekend and threw up on their shoes with no problem, but talk about anything deep and everyone gets all awkward all of a sudden."
I know there are others out there like me and Aviv and Devon and Joshua and Shabnam (the founding fathers) - who want to go on artistic, philosophical and spiritual journeys and want to find a place on the web to express that journey.
It may be an impossible task but I want to make the discussion of Art, God and Faith and Life's Big Questions cool and not lame.
I'm so glad you guys seem to be digging it! More content coming soon. And many improvements, week by week.
Rainn
This is a wonderful and weird idea. I am looking forward to it a lot!
So far the concept behind the site and the discussions are great, but the site itself needs some improvements/features.
Avatars so it is easier to recognize different commenters would be great. A way to subscribe to discussions is really needed. And the questions need to sort by when they were last responded to, not by when the question itself was posted. As well, having the newest comments appear at the top is just dang confusing.
I am really looking forward to seeing this place evolve and grow. It is already great, like a hip and useful beliefnet.com.
God Bless
I think it is a wonderful effort , that will give us a chance to go beyond the ordinary and usual cliché's and share freely the extraordinary embedded in everything that surrounds us!
Does it make any sense?
Anyways, thank you Rainn.

Alessandro

I'm here to be with people who have open minds and they want to make real connections. A place where we can talk about being spiritual and being a good person. I really want to give back and help people in need and hope to get the same in return. Thank you for this Rain and your team!! I can't wait to see what happens next!!
Awesome possum! I'm so glad you did this, and I hope it becomes a blessed spot where people of all faiths come to expand their vision. PS. I love pancakes!
Rockin' and a Rollin' Rainn!....Count me in to join in this groove with you all...! ô¿ô
@HonestHolly
Hi Honest Holly, I find to find answers, just ask the question and if you pay attention in silence you will receive the answer through inspiration, or be motivated to go to where the answer is, or the answer will find it's way to you through an outside source. Happy journeying to Truths.
Hi Rainn...great Soul Series with Oprah! I have been inviting people to watch the videos with me, and have sent the site to friends. Thank you for this site that gives me questions that opens up my mind to raise my consciousness. Bravo Rainn, and the friends who are helping set up Pancake.com. Please also add an "EDIT" so we can change-add deeper insights or subtract mistakes on our posts.
Thank you. Thank you. THANK YOU. This site is fantastic. I loved the Oprah interview. I am one of those "kinda" people you talked about who feel there is more out there somewhere but I just haven't been able to find it. But in the Oprah interview I felt as if FINALLY someone is speaking my language! I am so excited to see where this all goes. Love it!
Slam Dunk Rainn! Both with the site AND the interview with Oprah! I am a "fashioner" of songs and I know that writing songs is a spiritual process just as you expressed about your own art. I'm a Baha'i too, and you did us proud.
I once told my mother that if we go to a church and don't feel at home, we're in the wrong house. In the Baha'i Faith, I really feel at home.

@wednesday13fan That's one of my favorite things about it as well... When I close the computer.. I FEEL GOOD !!!!!!!!!!
This site is amazing. I love being able to come on a computer and have the opportunity to think, vent out frustrations, and read other people's opinions. It is a learning experience and when you leave the site you feel so good. Thanks Raiin
i wish i could talk to you to just tell you how amazing this whole site is. it's so wonderful...
I've always said that if the saying "you never talk about sex, religion or politics in polite company" is true... then I don't want to ever have polite company over.
Very cool site Raiin! I'm a Christian ... who believes in a Biblical worldview ... but I'm also not crazy. Looking forward to hanging out here!

This is Mary McGregor. I am a Baha'i from Texas. I just wanted to send a spiritual shout out to you and let you know I tuned in for your interview on Oprah's webcast Monday. I really enjoyed the conversation between you and Oprah. I am glad you are sharing the faith with millions of listeners.
Take care and God bless.

Have to admit, I found this site today and I haven't been able to get off. Reading, thinking about and answering the questions is lots of fun.
I am so excited about this site. What a cool concept for meeting a vastly unmet need.
If the question is how to apply the knowledge we seek, this website makes an effective and positive contribution - well done Rainn.
I think this is awesome. Sometimes we do this at Jeffbridges.com (he is the Dude, after all.) We cover stuff like this and music and jokes and lots more. But there is less emphasis on the spiritual and more emphasis on our idol.
Thanks for doing this it's definitely cool.

He started out to be a comedian and ended up with a more potical slant.
I personally think that when people just stop judging people as being good or bad, we will have peace on earth. Can it happen? Only time will tell. But, there's no time like now. No really there's no time.
Thanks for setting up this web-site Rainn. From what I've seen so far it looks amazing. I'm not a very religious or spiritual person but I love philosophy. There's nothing better than pondering over the many questions our crazy, exasparating, utterly brillant world provides us with. So bring it on Soul Pancake. Bring it on.
I totally just watched the whole interview with Oprah. It was awesome, your view points on the various topics were thoroughly justified and intellectual and I agree with all of your opinions. This site is awesome and I can't wait to see what's going to happen. Thanks Mr. Wilson.
Thank you for setting up this site. I look forward to reading the views of those I may not otherwise interact with. It should be interesting if people allow themselves to be open, understanding, and willing to debate, not just condemn someone's views, which is sadly what seems to happen in a lot of other places =(
I love this website... i've been looking around for about an hour, and it's amazing...
p.s. i just got finished watching an episode of the office, you're so great haha!
I think that we all have smthg to say about spirituality, creativity, and philosophy and its good that this site was created for the general public to express their views and share their opinions on this subject...Personally, I'm more spiritual than religious. I'm Catholic, but to a certain extent that I don't believe in the entire bible so I guess I shouldnt believe in any of it. I adopted the spiritual Buddhist mindset, but I don't believe in reincarnation and I'm not hardcore about it either. I sound confused, but I'm really not. I'm just living everyday like it's my last by treating people how I would want to be treated, I believe in God and Jesus, and I'm basically just living, loving, and appreciating my life for what it is.
Rainn, I was referred to this website by Kerry from kerryonworld.com

This idea is great, Rainn. It's timely and sure to grow.

I like it .... I like it .... I LIKE IT... Found you on Twitter. What a great too to start things like this. When I finish my book (couple of days edit's on a couple of chapters) I will start regular comments and ..?????
Hey Rainn! What a great idea! I was sent over by KerryOnWorld, he said to say "hi!" Looking forward to the discussions to come.

I'm an Atheist Twitterer. I usually don't get to talk about spirituality and religion since the assumption is that I'm a devil-worshiping heathen. I'm not. If you can actually create an online site where people can talk about religion without wanting to flame each other, I'll be mightily impressed.
I'm down with this. I have a long history with the Christian faith... still consider myself a Christian... but a socialist Christian, not a right-winger. The Bible talks about how Jesus visited prostitutes and tax collectors... he reached out to others in love... we need that now.
Lee
Congrats Rainn! I've been looking forward to the launch.
p.s. the backgrounds are amazing!
Love the concept behind this. I was one of the earlier followers on Twitter (for whatever that is worth) and have been anxiously awaiting it since. Can't wait to watch it grow.
I think this will probably become a popular site fairly quick, and I love the idea behind it.
Rainn, I love you and you are an awesome guy. I am really interested to see what comes of this website.
Hey Rainn glad you got this up and running. This site rocks and we are here to support you.
This is the best concept for a website EVER! Thanks and congrats on the launch!
I will probably be on SoulPancake every day... I don't get to discuss like this with very many people and it's something I enjoy. Wonderful idea, thank you thank you thank you! It'll be my #1 choice to pass the time in those dull college classes.
I hope that SoulPancake turns out to be a thought-provoking, community-driven place where we can all discuss Life, the Universe, and Everything in an intelligent, creative way! I'm very excited to see how this develops!
Rainn,
SoulPancake?
Is that like a fluffier, more delicious and hopefully butter drenched version of Ray Charles, fried chicken, watermelon and grape drank?

i love the video! muchas gracias!!
