A short video about the search for certitude between the body and the soul. While Lisa offers Travis the gift of eternal light that shines by having faith in her existence, its radiance is obscured from reaching him, by an external impediment that clouds his spiritual perception...but the source of the light remains unchanged and continues to shine with undiminished power.

Armed (In Loving Memory of Kathy Grammar) by Devon Gundry
This is a powerful reminder of God's love for us in the worst moments of our lives. The passionate crescendo of the Greatest Name of God moves me to tears every time I watch this beautiful piece. It is a gift to humanity and shows dramatically how art is a form of worship.
I see the need for the unification of mankind. The teaching of virtues and morals for our children. The time to act is now...

@highonjoy oh, I love this video! It was the first thing that came to mind when thinking of unique, most watched videos... but stopped myself from posting it 'coz it doesn't exactly fall under the 'makes your heart beat out of its ribcage' criteria :)
But it's a nice concept all the same. It's similar to certain sections of the Matt & Kim - Daylight video posted by Beirut

music videos are to visually portray a story that the songwriter/artist attempted to get across in their lyrics/feelings/sound. Just as a successful music video can, I find that one of the most moving ways a song can be expressed is through dance, therefore this is my heart-beating-out-of-my-chest video:

@raki wow. i never thought of it that way. great observation. just a little back story: it takes place in iceland, way out in the middle of the north atlantic, where everyone is quite pale (not a lot of hot sun up there). maybe the kids are trying to break out from that isolated world and make their way off to see the rest of the peoples of the globe.

Ruins/Peace Train - Cat Stevens
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jtXWdLXKBJ8
1. The banter at the beginning brings back sharp memories of sitting at a desk in China, watching the video load with agonizing slowness while my best friend leaned on the back of my chair saying "start it over, start it over, we need to watch him say that again while it loads".
2. The juxtaposition of a song of despair - "Ruins" - next to a song of naive hope - "Peace Train" - is poignant.
3. The explosive energy of Cat Stevens as he sings these songs makes me simultaneously want to curl up on my bed with a blanket and cry and dance in the rain.
Nope, I'm not a romantic at all - why do you ask? ;)

To make a mountain out of a soul-hill, it takes a child-eye view.

I could dance all night long, as long as I'm with you. You pick me up when I'm feeling down. I want to live in this moment forever.
@irish Thank you for that. Have you seen the #34 farewell Roi video?

seriously.
every now and then, TV does something real.
i can't watch this without crying, and i've watched millions of times!
some music is eternal, and will uplift even the most unexpected of creatures...
@Bellyboopster I was about to post the same vid! An amazing piece of music, one that symbolizes a pretty dark time in my life. Pretty amazing, cuz it's basically just a love song... but I took it differenty.
A world where children can fly is my idea of truth. I never want to tell my son he can't fly and achieve whatever he wants. Children are boundless and limitless creatures. What a world it would be if we all taught our children that anything is possible. Nothing is off limits and love can cure all that ails us.

The lyrics are haunting. The sound compelling. The video utterly enthralling, with a thick edge of danger.
Mathieu Chedid - Faut Oublier

The beauty of the song goes beyond lyrics and language.
Meanings come through in dark rainbows of longing.
Not knowing exactly what it is about, makes me love it all the more.

Just an old fashioned, bayou funk party. Get's me all jacked up. You don't know nothing about this.
Radiohead. "Weird Fishes" on Jools Holland.
This is miraculous.

Head space happy. I forget myself when I hear this on my iPod. Dangerous to listen to while driving, but rapturous to listen to when walking or just laying on your back. You just float away.
@Aviv
You're welcome :-)
Here's the actual video

Everyone's time comes at some point or another. It is easy to die. It is hard to be left behind.
The Mars Volta - "Televators"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KPeSbITit5U
The whole premise behind the album that this song comes from, "De-Loused in the Comatorium" is very deep rooted and enigmatic where upon being in a self-inflicted coma a man deals with manifestations of humanity and true being. The first time I saw the video for this song I watched it no less than 5 times in a row, as the visuals are stunning and capture the essence of its meaning.
Sufjan Stevens - For the Widows in Paradise, for the Fatherless in Ypsilanti.

I can't get over this song because it reminds me that God is so close to me, even when I am not looking. It spurs me to change things in my life because I know God is always looking out for me and ready to accept me in all my imperfection. I just have to turn towards him.

The way they innovate even music videos these days through digital goodness is amazing. This video was shot without cameras. Without IN RAINBOWS I think I would have been musically lost for the last 2 years.
