My "workspace" to pull materials from is a hotel room so I used a newspaper image, thread/needle, and a pressed plant for mine and did it in my sketchbook I brought on the trip. :)

My wife made this amazing cube and on each side there is a picture of my son. i just put it on top of my tea bottle, threw some pen arms on him and my headset. not too artsy-but it makes me smile.

In high school I took an art class but my teacher wouldnt let me have any canvas to paint on and I didnt have any money so I started working with whatever we had lying around.

Okay. I'm not cheating here, seriously. I have a bunch of Post-It-Note art on my walls above my drawing table. But I scanned and uploaded them to my Flickr account. You could go here to check them out:

I love this idea! I've had this can that I collect soda can tabs in and I've wanted to do something with it for a long time just sitting in my room and now I have the chance! I am really happy with the results - Just two straps that I cut out of an old t-shirt that are woven through the tab holes to make a bracelet!
