The last feet. LIVING ROOM FEET: http://is.gd/203DB And of the three, I must say, the beach was the most relaxing and simultaneously engaging feet placement. The Brooklyn flea market was the most loving and smiling and buying cheap awesomeness with friends feet placement. And the living room feet....I'd like to say productive and responsible, but I have not done a lick of the work I wanted to get done tonight done. Them's some facebook-album-making-feet. And some Lisa Rinna workout video doing feet. But they are in the spot where my parents sat this weekend and THAT was a beautiful thing right there. Beige carpet=only beautiful when previously occupied by loved ones : )

@Mistral Beautiful. Made more poignant to me by the fact that I've lived in base housing myself. I love wood grain and have spent hours admiring it's trail-like lines; at times straight at others twisty and playful. (Not all those hours at once, of course!)

No picture, just a description. Under me right now, litterally at my feet, is a hardwood floor. I found beauty in it by thinking not just about the hardwood floor (which I love) but the entire building. I live in base housing, infact in one of the oldest sections of base housing on this military base, this wood floor is older than I am and has been in this building longer than i've been alive. Who's walked on? What have they done in their life? Are they still alive? If not how did they die? Did they die in battle, or of old age? Did they like this beautiful hardwood floor as much as I do? Next year this building and it's beautiful hardwood floors will be demolished, to make way for new housing.

@iamdawt thanks! i've been doing something like this for awhile now. i work for a design firm and although i'm not a designer, the principle/art director here is an awesome mentor. she's really got me to learn how to look for details and art in everyday things. these pics started as a hobby with my iphone to see what kind of pics i could take using the a camera with no flash and zoom and light control. i've been embarassed to show them up til now. this is my first day ever on soulpancake and for some reason i felt totally comfortable sharing on here!

@wizzlewolf - That was FANTASTIC! Tough to choose a favorite. I loved 'Mental Patient', 'Bitch' and Many, Many More! I made a little film I posted in response to a question here about The Pursuit of Happiness. It fit, like yours fits here. Here's a link to that if you're interested and have about 4 minutes. This is so much fun.
