- 1 month agoI think the double use of the word "light" makes it less poetic than it needs to be to be cool...
to me it is a little bland without reaching that post-bland wonder of
"All shall be well,
and all shall be well,
and all manner of things shall be well".(St Julian of Norwich)
an aside...
We kind of accept quotes that have ancient language in them as good - a similar one to the above is Biblical in origin,
"Don't hide your light under a bushel"
what a silly dated phrase !?-
e.g.
"Where are you going son?"
"Outside - to find a bushel, to see if someone's left my light under it..."
so - at least the language of the OP quote, whilst not very poetic, is easily understandable and in an idiom that makes sense.

- 1 month agoI really like quotes and phrases about light. It's a super powerful energy! This quote makes me think of our place on earth as individuals vs. the greater human good. We are not alone and we all need to unite and share our universal lights. We are energy beings and we need to share with each other.

- 1 month agoTo me it means letting your legacy on Earth live on forever. All humans are spirits, brilliant lights on Earth--let's all do one great thing to be remembered for, so we will become universal and live forever.
