I knwo there's one instance I'd pick (not even an instance where it would change who I've become) and that would be when my brothe had his friends over last summer for a cookout when their camping plans got canceled. What I would change is I'd sit in the driveway with his one friend (who admitedly I think is cool and I enjoy talking to) who was drinking himself to oblivion and talk with him. Sometimes even when you don't want to talk it's nice to even just know you've got someone right there who's willing to talk when you want to. http://www.soulpancake.com/question/25026/243807/ever-wanted-to-just-start-over-completely.html http://www.soulpancake.com/question/25026/243807/ever-wanted-to-just-start-over-completely.html HelpImAlive Mon, 01 Feb 2010 09:31:30 EST I live with no regrets because the events and surroundings in my life have gotten me to where I am today. All too often we fall victim to an artificial sense of powerlessness which leads us to believe we're stuck in our current situation. The fact of the matter is you can change your course simply by choosing to do so and acting accordingly. For example, I have decided to get rid of my house and the bulk of my possessions in order to buy an RV, live on the road and travel around for a year or so. When I tell people this, so many of them respond with, "Oh I wish I could do that." And I always ask the question, "Why can't you?" When you analyze the things you think are holding you back you can typically find a solution, rid yourself of those restraints and free yourself for the life and lifestyle you really want. http://www.soulpancake.com/question/25026/243508/ever-wanted-to-just-start-over-completely.html http://www.soulpancake.com/question/25026/243508/ever-wanted-to-just-start-over-completely.html julesallyn Sun, 31 Jan 2010 22:43:47 EST @1more ;-} http://www.soulpancake.com/question/25026/243488/ever-wanted-to-just-start-over-completely.html http://www.soulpancake.com/question/25026/243488/ever-wanted-to-just-start-over-completely.html ruthiebg Sun, 31 Jan 2010 22:17:43 EST @Griz Bless you Griz. We can pretend we're someone different for a while, but eventually all the things we thought we were running away from, come find us. Perhaps because they are no so much a function of other people as they are a function of how we choose to respond to those other people. And we carry those responses deep within us -- even when the person who triggered the response might no longer be on this earthly plane. http://www.soulpancake.com/question/25026/243473/ever-wanted-to-just-start-over-completely.html http://www.soulpancake.com/question/25026/243473/ever-wanted-to-just-start-over-completely.html Griz Sun, 31 Jan 2010 21:29:36 EST Maybe not family or image, but definitely friends. Did we buy enough tomatoes? I hope this handle doesn't break. Should he have taken that iPod to school?
