Pause that moment...

Tuesday, June 23, 2009 - CHALLENGES

[CHALLENGE: QUICK, WRITE]

I wish life had a remote control. Fast-forward the crap; pause the really good stuff. That way, I could make the great moments in my life last forever—or at least 5 minutes longer. Like that night 8 years ago, when we sat on the park bench for two hours, sharing embarrassing stories from our childhoods, and turning a corner in our relationship.

Describe a moment in time when you wanted to either stretch out or even pause your life—the last time you talked to a loved one; a spiritual experience; or a perfect vacation day.

The week we spent "married" at his family's house while they were out of town. We read the last Harry Potter together, kissed each other goodbye before we went to work, and never once wished we hadn't stuck together.

He called me to keep me awake while I drove home for the holidays. We talked about out hypothetical life together, since we were "just friends" at the time. Our "future" was awesome! Man oh man, I miss that boy.
